" The primordial density perturbation"
I describe how primordial density perturbations may be described in terms
of a number of curvature perturbations that are conserved on large scales
whenever a local conservation equation holds (such as local conservation
of energy for a perfect fluid). I show how this enables one to relate
field perturbations generated during inflation in the very early universe
to density perturbations at late times. I discuss how these primordial
perturbations might be related to the late time perturbations in a dark
energy component. |

" Linear and non-linear properties of dark energy"
Dark energy has been discovered through its effects on the background expansion of the universe.
So far, only its background and linear fluctuation properties have been thoroughly investigated.
I discuss some cases in which dark energy has interesting and observable effects onnon-linear properties of large scale structure.
Such higher-order effects may help overcoming the parameter degeneracy that affect most dark energy observable quantities. |
